Sainik School Medical Result – Review and Appeal Process
Students will get a chance to review and appeal for who declared medically unfit. Here’s the stepwise process for review and appeal for medical test in Sainik School Admission:
- School will send a written notice for those students who declared unfit by doctors. In this notice parents will get the clear information about the health issue or defect cause of rejection.
- Parents or guardians will get 15 days of time period from the day they receive the letter to appeal to the Principal.
- Any appeal must be supported by a medical certificate issued by a Government Specialist Doctor.
- In the report, the doctor must say:
- The doctor has reviewed the school’s rejection letter and is aware of the specific medical issue noted.
- A thorough medical examination of the candidate has been carried out with particular attention to that condition.
- In the doctor’s professional opinion, the candidate is medically fit, despite the earlier assessment declaring them unfit.
- Parents must have to pay the medical review fee when they appeal (Rs 100 for General category, Rs 50 for SC/ST).
- The Principal will examine both the appeal application and the supporting medical certificate to determine whether the case should be referred to a Review Medical Board for reassessment.
- If approved, the school will arrange for the constitution of the Review Medical Board.
- The candidate is required to appear before the Board in person at the designated venue. All travel expenses and related costs must be borne by the candidate or their parents/guardians.
- If the Review Medical Board finds the candidate medically fit, the school will restore the candidate’s name to the admission list according to their merit position. In such cases, the medical review fee will be refunded.
- If the Board again declares the candidate medically unfit, the decision will be treated as final, and no further appeal will be considered by the school.
- While the appeal is under process, the Principal has the authority to place the admission on hold. This ensures that the candidate’s seat remains reserved until the final medical decision is made.
