Sainik School Admission 2027-28: Ever Year, The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE-2027) which covers admission to Classes VI and IX of Sainik Schools. Admission to Sainik Schools in India is expected to begin in September or October 2026. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. The Sainik School Admission 2027 Application form is common for admission to both Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools located in all over India.

AISSEE Sainik School Admission 2027-28 Notification

The Sainik School Admission 2027 notification is expected to release in September 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will invite the online application admission to Class 6 and Class 9 for 33 Old Sainik Schools and Newly opened Sainik Schools. Sainik School 2027 admission for class VI & IX is to be provided based on the candidate performance in AISSEE Entrance Exam 2027.

Last year, Sainik School Admission 2026 notification was released on 10 October 2025 and application accepted till to 09 November 2025. Sainik School Admission 2027 Eligibility Criteria

The Sainik School Society is an autonomous body works under Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. Sainik School Society runs the Sainik Schools and fixed eligibility parameters of admission to class VI and IX. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. Check SS Admission 2027 eligibility criteria details below:

AISSEE Class 6 Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: 10 to 12 years [1 April 2015 – 31 March 2017 (Both days inclusive)] as on 31 March 2027.
• Qualification: Student must be in Class V at a recognized school.

Sainik School Class 9 Admission Eligibility

• Age Limit: 13 and 15 years [1 April 2012 – 31 March 2014 (Both days inclusive)] as on 31 March 2027.
• Qualification: Student must be enrolled in Class VIII at a recognised school or institute.

Note: Boys and Girls both are eligible to apply to admission to class VI and IX, depends on availability of seats in that Sainik School.

Sainik School Application Fee 2027

All the applicant of Sainik School Admission 2027, must have to pay the application fee as per mentioned in below table. The application fee is non-refundable in any circumstances. Fee is exclusive of any taxes or service charges payable to banks/ payment organizations, that may be applicable.

Sainik School Admission 2027 Application Form

Candidates who are seeking admission to Sainik Schools in India, must have to fill the Sainik School Online form 2027 by visitng the NTA official website: https://exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/ Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the AISSEE Information Bulletin and on official website before to apply online. Only one Sainik School Application form 2027 is to be submitted by a candidate. If a candidate submits more than one application form for admission at the same class either Class 6 or 9, all his/her application forms shall summarily be rejected.

Instructions for Sainik School Admission 2027 Apply Online

Step 1: Sainik School Admission 2027 Onlinee Registration

• Open the NTA AISSEE official website – https://exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/
• On the homepage, click on the “AISSEE 2027 Apply Online” link provided on official portal.
• A new webpage will be displayed. Register online by using the mobile number and email ID.
• Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name as in the school records. Date of birth as recorded in birth certificate or school records must be filled correctly.
• Identification Type: Candidates can use School ID Card or Pan Card or Aadhar Card or Passport number or any other Photo Identity Card issued by Government.
• Candidate must have to providing your personal information, medium of examination, school applied for, exam centre, complete postal address, gender, parents information, etc.
• Save the details and create a User ID and password for it.

Step 2: Fill in the complete application form

• The application particulars entered in Step 1 can be edited before the final submission of AISSEE application form except mobile number and Email address. Fill all required details to complete the application form process.

Step 3: Choice of Examination Cities

• Candidates can choose maximum four cities of their choice for AISSEE 2027 examination. Exam cities list can be checked through AISSEE prospectus.

Step 4: Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature

• Candidate must upload the scanned photograph of applicant (file size: 10kb-200 kb) in JPG format.
• Candidate’s Signature (file size: 10 kb -50 kb) in JPG format. And also upload the Candidate’s left-hand thumb impression. (file size 10 kb -50 kb) in JPG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used).
• Candidate must have to upload the other docments such as Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
• Domicile Certificate.
• Caste/Community/ Category Certificate (if applicable).
• Certificate of service (for Defence category-serving) and PPO for Ex- servicemen, if applicable.
• Documents should be in .jpg, .png, or .pdf format.

Step 5: Application Fee Payment and Status of receipt of Online Application form

• Candidates must have to pay the application fees of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST) through online mode.
• Pay fee using SBI Bank Payment Gateway through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI and keep proof of fee paid for future reference purposes. In case of Confirmation page is not generated after paying application fee, then the transcation is cancelled and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account.
• Generation of confirmation page confirms the final submission of Sainik School 2027 application form. If conformation page has not been generated, this means that application form has not been submitted successfully.

Reservation in Sainik School Admission 2027

Candidates can check Sainik School Admission Reservation Policy Category wise details at below:

• 67% seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in the State/UT where the sainik school located.
• 33% Seats are reserved for candidates belongs to other state/ UT (Union Territories).

Within each category of Home State/ UT and Other States/ UT Quota seats will be reserved on the following lines:

• Out of the balance 50.50% of the seats in the Home State/ UT and Other States/ UT quota, and Defence (Serving personnel of Indian Army/Indian Air Force/ Indian Navy) personnel/ex-servicemen – 25% of total seats.

Reservation for Girls in Class VI: One seat per category for Girls Students will be allotted in Girl’s Admission. 10% of strength of Class VI or 10 number seats (whichever is higher) will be reserved for girl’s candidates in any school, in order to cater to all the categories.

• The Sainik School Society (SSS) has prescribed the AISSEE Syllabus 2027 for Class VI & IX. Students can go through the AISSEE Notification 2027-28 to know about latest exam pattern and syllabus scheme.
• The AISSEE syllabus includes the CBSE Class 5 and Class 8th syllabus topics for AISSEE Class 6th and 9th exam, respectively.
